The Simmons EQ Profile is such a valuable tool for measuring emotional intelligence that you may choose to train a group of people to interpret the Profile. The tool would than be available for your company for use in evaluating candidates for hiring and promotions. Paired with Personal Development Planning Workbook that I have written for use in coaching, you can also use the Profile in working with people in need of development. I have also created a process for using the Profile in developing high-potential employees.
Process for Training Interpreters
1. Participants take the EQ Profile for use in the training event.
2. Training of interpreters.
One day of training is required to introduce interpreters to the patterns and interactions of scores that determine the meaning to be derived from the Profile. Interpreters also learn how to recognize patterns such as The Strong Leader, The Dictator, The Weak Leader, The Administrator, The Good Servant, and more.
3. Assignment of your own identification code and password.
Once you receive your own code and password, you can administer the Profile online or by using a hard copy that can be faxed for scoring. Under normal conditions, you will receive the EQ Profile Report with a few minutes after the answers have been submitted. Once received, you convert it to a pdf and email it to me for the next step.
4. Telephone coaching.
Mastery of interpretation takes repeated exposure to many Profiles. To accelerate your mastery of interpretation, the training includes one-on-one coaching in the your twenty-five Profiles for a small fee per Profile. After this number has been reached, you will have developed confidence in your interpretations. However, you will occasionally run into a pattern you have not seen before. I will be available to assist you at for no charge once you have completed the initial coaching process.
